The Mexican War Streets Society (MWSS) was founded in 1969 as a non-profit organization. Its mission is to preserve the historic character of the Mexican War Streets and to promote the neighborhood through personal and community involvement.

View the MWSS Bylaws and proposed revisions.

General membership meetings are held at 7:00 pm on the third Tuesday of each month at the Unitarian Universalist Church at the corner of West North Avenue and Resaca Place. Topics of interest to the neighborhood and upcoming events are discussed. Guests are welcome to attend. For more information, please call (412) 323-9030.

There are many ways to become involved and get connected with MWSS. Check out our Calendar of Events and Annual Events.

The Mexican War Streets neighborhood is a federally and City designated historic district. The following guidelines are designed to help individual property owners formulate plans for the preservation, rehabilitation and continued use of historic buildings in the City¹s historic districts. The guidelines pertain to buildings of all occupancy and construction types.
