The Mexican
War Streets Society (MWSS) was founded in 1969 as a non-profit
organization. Its mission is to preserve the historic character
of the Mexican War Streets and to promote the neighborhood through
personal and community involvement.

General membership meetings are held at 7:00
pm on the third Tuesday of each month at the Unitarian Universalist
Church at the corner of West North Avenue and Resaca Place. Topics
of interest to the neighborhood and upcoming events are discussed.
Guests are welcome to attend. For more

The Mexican War Streets neighborhood is a federally
and City designated historic district. The following guidelines
are designed to help individual property owners formulate plans
for the preservation, rehabilitation and continued use of historic
buildings in the City¹s historic districts. The guidelines
pertain to buildings of all occupancy and construction types.
