Each year, our small and diverse Northside neighborhood reaffirms itself as one of Pittsburgh's most welcoming areas to call home. We are proud of that fact as the Mexican War Streets Society continues to build upon its rich tradition of preserving the residential integrity and promoting the historic significance of our streets and buildings.

Additionally, the Mexican War Streets Society and its board continues to address issues that affect the quality of life of its residents. Topics such as litter and noise control, Safe Streets initiatives, commercial development, vacant lots and delinquent properties are concerns to the community as a whole. The board also strives to engage community members in annual special events - National Night Out, House & Garden Tour, Winter Holiday Party - and provide amenities such as a bimonthly newsletter, an updated website and interesting guest speakers at monthly membership meetings.

Make sure MWSS represents your interests by becoming a member, attending the monthly general membership meetings held the third Tuesday of each month at the Allegheny Unitarian Church (corner of Resaca Place and West North Avenue, 7pm) and becoming involved in the various community committees and events. We encourage your active participation. It is because of you that the Mexican War Streets are a wonderful place to call home

Our MWSS Annual Dues are $12/member, $6 seniors/students or $150 lifetime member
