Monday, February 20, 7pm The Mexican War Streets Society's General Membership meeting will be held on February 20 at 7:00 pm. at the Allegheny Unitarian Universalist Church on West North Avenue. Members and non-members are welcome. We would also like to welcome Diana Nelson-Jones, reporter for the Post-Gazette who has been detailing storefronts in Pittsburgh neighborhoods in the Storefront Project. She'll talk about the places that used to be there in the War Streets -- if you ever wondered about all those corner houses you walk by with storefront windows, you can find out what her research has uncovered, with pictures of then and now. Saturday, February 25 The 2012 MWSS Progressive Dinner is quickly approaching, coming up on Saturday, February 25. It's a great way to get to know your neighbors and have a wonderful meal. You can just come along to eat and socialize, or volunteer to cook food or host. Download the registration form to RSVP for either, or pick up a paper copy at Monterey Pub or Buena Vista Coffee Shop.
