40th Annual
MWSS House &
Garden Tour
The 40th annual Mexican War Streets House & Garden Tour boasted record attendance on September 13th, when we welcomed more than 1,300 visitors to our historic neighborhood.
In honor of our anniversary year, the House Tour was preceded by a Preservation Ball at the Willock House on Brighton Road.
Both events raised a combined total of more than $30,000 to invest in community green spaces and neighborhood preservation projects. House Tour co-chairs Paul Johnson and Janet Moore would like to offer a gracious thank-you to all of the homeowners who opened their doors to the crowd of tour-goers. They'd also like to thank the restaurants who participated on the midway – All In Good Taste Productions, Bistro To Go, Heinz Loft Cafe and The Monterey Pub – and all of the Ball and Tour sponsors – Penn Brewery, KS Kennedy, The Monterey Pub, Horn Corp. Builders, Eisler Landscapes, Cedar Avenue Giant Eagle, Astorino, Dollar Bank and Clark Bar & Grill.
A special thanks goes out to all the businesses that donated to the Ball's silent auction, and the House Tour committee members: Eric French, Andrea Fridley, Rebecca Grazier, Sandy Kniess, Patt & Bruce Ledewitz, David McMunn, Bambi Morton, Greg Mucha, Cindy Nichols, Karl Owens, William Pierson, Bob Sendall, Allan Slider, Leslie Vincen, Dan Wintermantel and Randy Zotter.
We couldn't have done it without you! This event is the primary funding source for the Mexican War Streets Society. Please join our membership and help us spend this money wisely toward useful causes throughout our beautiful community..
